Tamzyn is a beautiful eight-year-old who suffers from cerebral palsy symptoms, severe epilepsy, and cortical visual impairment, acid reflux and also seizures. She is of Ngaati Hinerangi and she desperately needs a bedroom. Tamzyn is unable to talk, walk, eat and see. Tamzyn's needs are getting greater and the room she shares with her parents is not big enough to house the equipment needed to cope with her condition. Her family is now in desperate need to build an extension for a specially kitted out room after their request for the bank loan was turned down.To help out Tamzyn's family, their friends, family and the Matamata community have all come together with different fundraising initiatives cropping up from restaurants selling cupcakes to mechanics donating percentages of every warrant of fitness they book this month. There will be a special one off event held to help this project go to the next level. Tamzyn's Fundraiser Gala Day will be held on Saturday 26th September at Firth Primary School. The Gala will have rides, entertainment, second hand sales, home baking and fun for the whole family. Through the tough times, this family is an inspiration and the support from the community shows it.
